When not drawing, Eliza Stamps works as a teaching artist. Currently, she is teaching in middle schools in Chinatown in Lower Manhattan, Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and Jamaica, Queens. She works to integrate visual arts into the school curriculum. In her present residencies, she is teaching English as a Second Language, Social Studies, and violence prevention through hands-on art exploration. She believes that the arts are an integral aspect of a child’s development and revels in the discoveries that her students make during the creative process.http://www.elizastamps.com
