«Synthazards are synthetic fabrications of natural hazards which forms are generated by various algorithms and machines. They are manufactured by using different rapid prototyping techniques, laser cutouts, and cnc. The following natural hazards are prototyped: earthquake, drought, whirlpool, lightning, volcano, tsunami, tornado and lava. The objects are focusing on formal aspects of these phenomena. What is apparent in fabrications is a unique synthetic form, which is given by algorithms and inscribed in the language of prototyping machines.»

Grupmuv

Je vous annonce la mise en ligne officielle du site du Grupmuv, un laboratoire de recherche-création dédié au dessin et à l'image mouvement. Je participe à l'élaboration d'un volet de recherche sur l'hybridation de l'image.

Pour le Grupmuv, la mise en mouvement de l'image demeure un geste de dessinateur et nous abordons l'image en mouvement en la rapprochant du domaine du dessin expérimental. Aux trois professeurs fondateurs sont associés trois étudiants de la maîtrise en arts visuels et médiatiques de l'UQAM, chacun dirigeant son propre volet au sein du programme de recherche-création. Nous privilégions une recherche et une production qui se déploient en relation avec celles d'artistes professionnels aux pratiques artistiques reconnues, de théoriciens et de diffuseurs dans le cadre d'une série d'activités telles que séminaires, plénières, programmes de courts métrages et conférences.
