Sketch Furniture by Front

Très sympatique!
Very sympatic!

''Motion Capture translates motions into 3D-files and are used in this project to simply record the tip of a pen when people draw pieces of furniture in the air. Rapid Prototyping is a technique that materializes 3D-files. A laser beam builds the 3D-file layer by layer within a liquid plastic material. Every 0.1mm the liquid harden by a laser beam. After a few hours, the 3D-files come out as materialized pieces. The Sketch Furniture project in Japan is made in collaboration with Barry Friedman Ltd. Tokyo Wonder Site Aoyama and Crescent.''

Ledia Carroll - Mission Lake

Voici un très beau projet réalisé par Ledia Carroll.
Here a very beautiful project carried out by Ledia Carroll.

''On October 22, 2006, Ledia Carroll will use a field line chalker to recreate the full perimeter of Lago Dolores, a former freshwater lake that stretched from what is now South Van Ness to Guerrero and 15th to 20th Streets. Drawing the line in reference to maps from the 1800s, Carroll’s chalkline allows the still visible ancient depression of the lake to become apparent to the eye. In conjunction with the re-created lake shoreline, Ledia Carroll presents a “lakeside” barbeque and perimeter “alleycat” bike race.''

The Floating House

J'aime l'idée de cette maison flottante conçu par Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec Design.
I like the idea of this floating house conceived by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec Design.

''The Floating House is a studio for resident artists and authors invited by the Cneai, national contemporary art center for publication. Initiated in 2002 by a public commission and finished in 2006, this habitable barge was realized in collaboration with architects Jean-Marie Finot and Denis Daversin. The simple lines of the structure are a pragmatic and poetic answer to the thin budget dedicated.''
